PHILADELPHIA – A highly unusual weather pattern is bringing critically dangerous wildfire conditions Tuesday to a swath of the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, including the Philadelphia and New Jersey area.
Meanwhile, wildfire smoke from multiple blazes already burning across Canada has flooded the region’s skies with renewed haze and poor air quality.
A deep and dry layer of air moved into the Great Lakes Monday night and is spreading into parts of the Northeast on Tuesday, dropping the humidity to as low as 25% and bringing a swath of breezy, gusty winds.
Meanwhile, an upper-level trough of low pressure is expected to trigger a round of “dry” thunderstorms across parts of the mid-Atlantic – common in the Desert Southwest but rare in the East.

OMG!!!!! Look out! Weather is occurring!
We’ve got thunderstorm warnings here as well. Time to cower and hide. /s
The Jersey Pine Barrens could go up pretty fast. When I was still living out there many times they closed the Wharton State Forest. The pines also rebound quickly too.
Have they named this storm yet?
Guess there was no hurry fixing my drip system. Getting enough natural watering.

I find it suspicious that there are so many fires burning in Canada all at once. And in the US in previous years. These fires are messing with the weather. I think much of it is intentional.
