You're overlooking the quality of Bud's beers. For decades a crappy beer made its profits from advertising and shelf space. Churning out crappy mass marketed beer consumed by careless people who didn't mind the poor quality because it was cheap and readily available.

Now the bloom is off the rose. It is crappy beer mass-marketed to people management has utter contempt for.

The brand is destroyed.

No, because a lot of Bud Light drinkers have since discovered that replacing their beer-like fluid (because Bud Light is not real beer) with something else is very easy and that there are actual beers out there that are way better.
