Why expect that desantis would talk about pardons?

If desantis had the strength of his convictions, that he says

'We have for years witnessed an uneven application of the law depending upon political affiliation.
'Why so zealous in pursuing Trump yet so passive about Hillary or Hunter? The DeSantis administration will bring accountability to the DOJ, excise political bias and end weaponization once and for all.'

and believes that the charges being persued against Trump were unfair and due to lawfare...

He would have said:

If Trump is convicted of charges, I will pardon Trump

He didn't, because if he thougth the lawfare was unfair, he wouldn't have to wait to see if Trump was convicted, unfair is unfair.

desantis said the comment, because he thought it would improve his public image.

And yes, there are lots of tweets saying Trump should withdraw and endorse desantis...

As if anyone would trust anything a backstabber like desantis says.

I won’t be voting for the neocon/globalist/RINO shill DeSantis under ANY circumstances. DeSantis thinks his little anti-woke schtick is enough to bring Republicans to his side but he’s about to find out otherwise. He’s going NOWHERE and his political career will end with this campaign.

Anything desantis says will never be good enough for those who worship Trump. Just be honest

Please tell us why, desantis

who jerks people around,
who tells lies and deliberately deceives people without qualms,
has fraudulent converted $83 million in soft money campaign donations, to use in his presidential campaign,
is the best person to be president?

And how would you ever know when desantis is telling the truth about anything or what he's going to do?

As is always the case with DeSantis, he acts with only his own best interest in mind at every point.

A Trump supporter is accusing DESANTIS of this? Somebody’s goggles need refocussing looks like to me.

at this point I’m leaning desantis. There is a long way to go. I mean that way for many reasons. I have rallied to a lot of people who consider themselves sam t voters. All would crawl across broken glass to vote against Trump. Combine that with the lids of some of the base with his recent behavior I simply do not think he is electable. I don’t want to lose this election. In addition Trump is not a conservative and has softened on abortion and has never been a staunch 2A supporter.
I think desantis is currently the most electable of the field and he has signed a tough abortion bill and has not backed down in the culture wars. No candidate is perfect I am also watching Vivek with interest and want to learn more
At this time in 2008 Hilary had the nomination sewn up and we all know how that went. Point is it’s early
I think what is happening to Trump is reprehensible but I do not find that a reason to vote in the primary for someone I do not believe is electable. Unlike the Trump only crowd I will vote for him in the general if he is the nominee

The topic IS about DeSantis and what he said about Trump. This prosecution is bc, and i’m still leaning DeSantis, I can keep both things in my head.

He will be the top choice for 2028 if he does not win this year.

DeSantis supporters have said that Trump should drop out of the White House race to the Florida governor can pardon him if he wins in 2024.

LOL, Trump isn't dropping out.

At this point, unfortunately, DeSantis pardoning Trump would be the best thing for Trump. They could always get Trump in 2029. ( And don't think they won't,)

There might not be an election in ‘28 if we are engaged in WW3.

This is the problem with DeSantis. He can never address difficult issues, directly. He’s always looking to hedge his bets.
