Attorney Trusty, appearing on NBC on Friday morning, said Trump is ready for a battle. “He’s a fighter, and he’s going to come out swinging, and he’ll be fine,” Trusty said. “He’s not afraid of this thing.”
Hours later, in a shocking turn of events, Trusty and another attorney on the team, John Rowley, resigned from the case.

That one just hates Trump.
Stands to reason, different venue, different jurisdiction and attorneys need to be licensed in the state they practice.
Yes… by representing their client, they are obstructing Justice. Welcome to new America.
It’s federal charges, not state of Florida charges.
I have listened to few attorneys that have said that Trump needs better attorneys for this.
Except those 2 had been with Trump for 5 years through the indictment process which is probably their expertise.
Trump has already named one of the trial lawyers so it is not like this was a surprise to Trump.
38 felony counts, not 7..
“Trusty was on Fox and was very forceful in attacking the indictment. Will we ever know the full story about his resignation? Maybe he is being threatened by the special counsel.”
More likely his other clients threatened to leave and it was made clear he would have great difficulty securing new clients as long as he was associated with Trump.
I’ll second what others have said on here. I watched Trusty last night and again this morning on F&F. Both times he did an excellent job on explaining the alleged charges and presenting possible defenses to them. Their no longer representing Trump only hours after appearing was startling and they may well have been drawn into the case other than as attorneys.
Could it be a way of buying time???
I continue to lean on law that says the President can declassify anything.
A conversation that identifies something as “secret” is easily seen as a person speaking of the past as if he were in the past.
I can say “these are dad’s final words” or I can say “these were dad’s final words.”
Nope. Everything s conjecture until we see the evidence.
It’s amusing that you are so brainwashed you cannot understand what is going on.
Just because a person explains something you don’t like or agree with, you jump to all sorts of conclusions.
Understanding what is going on is something everyone should do. Ignoring facts in favor of the accused shouting, “I am innocent!!!” Is never a good plan. And I would bet if you sat in a court all day, you wouldn’t believe any of the defendants would screamed their innocence.
They’re going after his lawyers too eh?
Anyway there is a story of the second lawyer arriving in court for the case and opening the folder left for him by the first lawyer. It just had one piece of paper inside which read: "No case. Abuse the plaintiff's attorney."
You are the brainwashed moron who has witnessed the Russia Russia Hoax, two unwarranted impeachments and still support the unconstitutional prosecution of a former POTUS!
You have a lot of nerve!
If I were Trump, I would demand an immediate Trial by a jury of my peers. He’s in Florida. He’ll never be convicted there.
Ask the judge to schedule the trial in 30 days and see how the Government reacts.
Delay is what the government wants. He’s not guilty of anything. They know it. This is a side show. So let the games begin.
And here it is:
After reading details in the indictment, it’s pretty clear why the two attorneys resigned from the case: They were lied to by Trump.
After reviewing boxes in the storage room and removing classified material from them, Trump attorney 1 (either Trusty or Rowley) directed Trump attorney 3 (likely Lindsey Halligan) to certify that all such material had been removed and accounted for. What none of the attorneys knew is that Trump had directed Nauta to remove and conceal other boxes of classified and/or national defense material from the storeroom to other locations on the property. This material was discovered during the August 2022 FBI search.
Having both been lied to and subject to being called at witnesses by the DOJ at trial, they no could longer represent him.
Pretty sure they are NOT licensed to practice in Florida-—This is a FLORIDA TRIAL
