* It appears on the surface of the indictment, that much information missing:
.....No actual concrete numbers of items in said boxes, both quantity and types.
* The defense would be:
...”reasonable man theory” 1. physical tasking-sorting and 2. sheer myrads of numbers in boxes.. volumes and types of items. 3. Months if not years for a private citizen to organize/sort.
* So let’s have actual quantity.
* Further, the moment Trump left the White House, if plaintiff can prove their case, would qualify under Contributory Negligence, of government officials.

It's best that they maintain they were lied to. If they knew there was classified/national defense information still held by Trump and they then certified there was none remaining followed by FBI finding more during the raid, they could also be prosecuted. One way or the other it's best for them to remove themselves from the storm.
Regarding the material allegedly found by the FBI in Trump's office, bathroom and other locations other than the storeroom, if it was there and not planted by the feds (a possibility), Trump's indeed in a world of hurt.
May be more than just a possibility - I recall one of Trump's attorneys saying she was not allowed entrance to accompany the FBI agents in their search.
