CHICAGO -- Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker on Friday signed into law two measures aimed at safeguarding the rights of LGBTQ+ people as other states move to restrict the community, just days after the Human Rights Campaign declared a state of emergency for LGBTQ+ Americans.
One of the new laws will update language in existing acts to be more gender inclusive in order to affirm LGBTQ+ youth in foster care, and the other will make it easier for LGBTQ+ couples to marry. The laws will be effective on Aug. 8 and on Jan. 1, 2024, respectively.

Ridiculous. I’m getting sick and tired of those around us that spend their entire existence thinking of new ways to use and abuse their genitals.
If they were really concerned about language, they’d be insisting that we have a standard for our spoken and written language, rather than making an exception for immigrants, the ignorant, or the feral class. We have races and groups of people embracing and encouraging the destruction of the English language with social, governmental, and corporate approval. They either didn’t learn from the story of Babel, or are trying to repeat it purposely. Who noticed a decade or so ago when the national news stations changed their grammar, being careful to always add a male or female gender pronoun when saying someone’s name? Few, I expect. Make people stupid enough and they never see it coming, which is why they go for the senior citizens first- wisdom comes with age.

We’ve been told ad nauseam that gender is a MYTH, a social construct, so how can a law possibly deal with something that doesn’t exist?
