There are only two things I can think of that I really want if somehow something happened to move the needle on my finances substantially. One is a very live spring fed, cold, clear creek in my backyard. The other is more solitude than I have now. A place where I can’t hear another person or automobile, quiet.
I get bothered when someone turns in the driveway to turn around or stays there too long. I surely could not make it with public office or any prying eyes no matter my lilly white innocence.
George would have a lot of company in not even wanting to try to be elected for anything.

True enough. But thank God we had a "savior" like George Washington in the Revolutionary War and as President in the early years of our republic.
Different times require a different sort of person. One of the things I respect President Trump for is he'd rather NOT take the job as President. But he feels it's his duty to do help Save America and is risking his life and much more to support We the People in this dark hour of our Nation.
Every generation requires a George Washington, a Winston Churchill, and countless veterans of foreign and domestic wars to step up.

I agree that each era needs a unique influencer.
Trump isn’t perfect, but he WAS perfect to defeat Hillary. A laughed-off underdog to which many of us gave our full support.
Trump today isn’t the same influencer he was in 2016. He wasn’t even the same in 2020.
The leftist media and weaponized fed has done an outstanding job of vilifying Trump, and not only damaged his chances at reelection, but also laid a “plausible” narrative for any shenanigans used to defeat him. (see: 2020)
Our best bet is a unifier with broad appeal. Broad appeal comes from unifying issues, such as combating the tranny agenda and wokeism. DeSantis has done both in spades, and hasn’t been hammered in the media as Satan for the past 8 years.

I’ve wondered why, if he’s such a “great unifier”, why he didn’t announce his candidacy for President to 1000s of supporters, Republican-Democrat-Libertarian, in an arena or football stadium in Florida.
Why doesn’t he have people lined up along the street waiting for a chance to see him go by?
