Attorneys Christopher Kise and Todd Blanche to Represent Donald Trump
Breitbart ^ | 13 Jun 2023 | HANNAH BLEAU

Posted on 06/13/2023 10:21:10 AM PDT by conservative98

Attorneys Christopher Kise and Todd Blanche are expected to represent former President Donald Trump in the 37 federal felony counts against him as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into his handling of White House documents.

The news follows Trump’s previous attorneys, James Trusty and John Rowley, abruptly quitting on Friday after the federal government unsealed the 49-page indictment. In it, the Joe Biden Justice Department “alleges Trump mishandled classified documents after he left office, including by storing them in a ballroom and a bathroom at Mar-a-Lago,” as Breitbart News detailed.

However, it appears Trump has secured a new set of attorneys ahead of his scheduled arraignment in Miami, expected to take place at 3 p.m. Eastern.

Kise stated in a motion filed Tuesday that he, the listed counsel, will represent Trump “for trial, all proceedings in the District Court, and on appeal.”

According to the Messenger, “Kise, a member of the Southern District of Florida Bar who is licensed to practice law in Florida, also filed a routine procedural motion Tuesday to allow Blanche to participate in the case.”

As I read last week it wasn’t really “abrupt”.
Those attorneys expertise was the indictment process.
These attorneys are trial lawyers.
makes sense

Only there for a paycheck I guess....the going gets tough and they run away.

Having said that, Trump’s ability to choose people he can trust and rely on isn’t exactly his strong suit.

No, Those two Trump attorneys had to step down because Jack Smith ensnared them during the depositions and turned them into witnesses. They had no choice but to step down.

This whole thing is the literal definition of “Trumped up charges”.

Absolutely a petty and childish conspiracy action.

So they are named in the indictment?
I have seen several conservative outlets also question timing.
If they are named in the indictment you’d think people would see it and realize they had to step down
Do you have the page it is on?

Lawyers are being threatened with disbarment by Project 65 for representing Trump, and here you are amused and eating popcorn.

The DOJ and the Obama judge were not playing fairly and went after his attorneys, they compel them to testify and wave attorney-client privilege so they had to go. Learn the facts and lose that TDS.

Yep… but nonetheless be ready for the gut punch. I don’t see any judge dismissing the crooked trumped up charges.

Yes they were in the indictment and didn’t know it until it was unsealed. Smith ensnared them using a lawfare tactic basically putting them in a position to have to step down. Trusty was on Fox news the night of the unsealing giving an interview when he found out he was named in the indictment. The Conservative Treehouse has a nice informative article on it.

They had to take themselves off the case when the indictment made them material witnesses as a LawFare tactic by the prosecution. Brietbart knows this — why not give the specifics.
