But the Judge assigned to this case is Judge Cannon, what right does Rinehart have to instruct what Trump can and cannot do?

The FIB took this to the rat Judge got what they wanted and Cannon is just letting it happen. They set this up when they went on all last week about her being a “Trump Judge”. They are daring her to do anything about it.

A federal magistrate handles pre-trial aspects of the case, i.e. discovery disputes, etc. The Trial Judge handles dispositive motions such as summary judgments or motions to dismiss, evidentiary rulings and the Trial itself

More important parts sometimes, but their decisions have to be reviewed by the District Judge. That said, with Cannon is apparently aissnged for all purposes, if she were out sick or something like that, any judge could hear matters and make rulings
