I agree. As I said elsewhere, our nation is self-sorting at the moment. Conservatives are abandoning liberal cities and states and moving to areas where there is more freedom and they can associate with like-minded people. Progressives are leaving conservative states and relocating to areas where they can get abortions on demand, do drugs without repercussion, and limit the free speech of others.
A parallel society may be the result of the self-sorting.
