When Prigozhin promised to restore justice to the Russian military, he also promised to pay the army. A large part of the Russian army, conscripts, prisoners, those dump in front of the blocking forces, are owed back pay or not getting paid. That is a strong incentive to defect.

Prigojin is merely saying that the Kremlin are a bunch of spoiled deep-state politicians suffering from greed.
It is not a civil war- it’s a war on hired mercenaries trying to run the oligarchs. Prighozin is just one of the oligarchs, and in a very precarious position for sure. But not a civil war.
