DeSantis wants desperately to ignore Trump and campaign as if he’s not there. His strategy is to focus on Biden and all the wonderful things he’ll do once President, not on whether or not he’s better than Trump. If that becomes the focus of his campaign he knows he will lose. Trump’s constant attacks on DeSantis make it hard for his campaign strategy to work.

Very, as most of the people I know who prefer DeSantis often cite DJT’s refusal to admit there is any imperfect about the mrna shots he pushed as one of the primary reasons.
