Belarusan President Alexander Lukashenko has confirmed that the founder of Russia's mercenary Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, is now in Belarus, according to Belarusian state news agency BELTA. His plane reportedly landed in the capital, Misnk earlier on Tuesday.
Under a deal mediated by Lukashenko on Saturday that ended a mutiny in Russia by the Wagner fighters, Prigozhin agreed to move to Belarus, while his men were given the choice of joining him or being integrated into Russia's regular armed forces.
Lukashenko also said his defense minister, Viktor Khrennikov, had told him he would not mind having a unit like Wagner in the Belarusian army. The Belarusian leader instructed Khrennikov to negotiate with Prigozhin on the matter.

Some folks are saying Wagner is now a "nuclear power" after they possibly took over a base and got all of the warheads - hence why "Prig" is still alive.

If and that's a very big IF this "mutiny" happened, as reported, then Prigozhin's life and that of the other " mutineers", 5,000 or 25,000, are not worth a plugged nickel, despite Putin's assurances.
A ploy to move Wagner's troops to Belarus for another attempt on Kyiv?
Why all of the theatrics?
Just put them on trains and move them.
It's not like the Ukrainians aren't going to be watching them, whatever their "status".

I grew up with him being the active James Bond. Always liked him. He is always what my default visual is of Mr. Bond.
Most Bond aficionados still insist Sean Connery or Roger Moore are the best.
Roger Moore is a bit campy but he pulled it off.
