The whores in Congress get rich for their donors to pass spending legislation. They won’t allow this.

And Trump thinks that Congress, who hates him, will go along with this? He couldn’t get them to agree to the wall and so much other stuff, I sorry but I cannot imagine him have any chance to do this. Nice talk, but zero action.

advisors close to the former president tell RealClearPolitics they are drawing up plans to challenge the 1974 Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act in court, and if that fails, to lean on the legislature to repeal it.

That would require the Senate to go Republican, and if it does I'm sure Mitch McConnell will get right on that.

This is all nonsense. What legal grounds are there for challenging this law in court? We already know there's not a hope in hell that Congress will surrender any part of its ability to spend taxpayer money.

Great plan, the only question is if he has the discipline to avoid sideshow, not trust backstabers and Snakes, and the discipline to carry it out. Leftism must be destroyed.

Presidents get all this blame for spending but ever since the Nixon takedown have only the veto to deal with it.

The impoundment control act is BS and anybody bitching about spending should put the blame where it belongs.....your favorite House & Senate members.

Interesting angle. Trump aims high and he’s the only candidate who has offered a new line of attack against spending and against the deep state. Trump is a problem solver. I don’t know if this will ultimately be successful but it seems to me that it at least has a reasonable chance of success. If he can pull it off it will be a game changer.

He shouldnn’t have said anything about this until and if he were elected. Don’t give away your plans and allow the e to figure ways to stop it. He just can’t control his mouth.

Really his plan. Don’t know much but I’m fairly certain this time around he’s keeping his cards close to the vest

It’s called the veto pen. As enabled under that quaint old U.S. Constitution.

Next time around, actually use that veto pen.

trump is good at distraction. this seems non workable but a good distraction while he goes and attacks the deep state and spending in a different way. if Trump was going to do this, he would not talk about it and then just spring it on congress.

Not a new concept and one that President Trump used in his first term.

Interesting constitutional questions so Judiciary may be called to weigh in.

Sounds good if the right person is president but could easily backfire if the wrong one is... like Biden.

If the president was mandated to follow the laws passed by Congress we wouldn’t have the border crisis but when you can selectively pick and choose what laws you enforce we have the mess we have.

By the way, the immigration process isn’t broken. The laws are fine if enforced.
