Team DeSantis celebrates the end of Pride Month with zinger aimed at Trump
American Wire News ^ | July 1, 2033 | Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign team released a wild culture war ad on Friday taking aim at former President Trump as Pride Month ends, using clips from “American Psycho” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” to hammer home the Florida firebrand’s leadership on issues.

“To wrap up ‘Pride Month,’ let’s hear from the politician who did more than any other Republican to celebrate it…” the DeSantis War Room tweeted with a compilation of clips showing Trump’s ties to the LGBTQ and transgender community.

The video begins with a 2016 clip of Trump telling the Republican National Convention, “I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens,” utilizing a rainbow pride flag superimposed over his image. It then showcases a number of clips of Trump with transgender Caitlyn Jenner, who is also a Republican. Then a graphic shows DeSantis with lightning bolts shooting out of his eyes next to the word “NO.”

Ads by The ad is sure to offend Trump supporters and it enraged leftist media outlets as well such as Mediaite which branded it as “bizarre” and “unhinged.” But the ad will no doubt appeal to certain demographics which was the point. It is also intended to show that DeSantis will protect children no matter what and that he stands strongly against elements of the transgender movement.

The ad touts the headline, “DeSantis Signs ‘Most Extreme Slate of Anti-Trans Laws in Modern History,’” as energetic music plays in the background and images of DeSantis stream.

According to Mediate, the ad also uses clips of necrophiliac-serial killer-rapist Patrick Bateman from “American Psycho,” British gangster Tommy Shelby from “Peaky Blinders,” and convicted fraudster Jordan Belfort from “Wolf of Wall Street” in what appears to make the point that DeSantis will fight evil.

A stylized graphic toward the end of the ad shows DeSantis depicted as an alligator with reptile eyes and spiky teeth, again in an effort to show his strength. Images of Spartans are also interspersed in the ad and, finally in another play off of “Wolf of Wall Street,” the ad declares that a real wolf has finally arrived.

Trump supporters and leftists viciously attacked the ad online.

A conservative Florida LGBTQ group called the Log Cabin Republicans took issue with the ad.

“Today’s message from the DeSantis campaign War Room is divisive and desperate. Republicans and other commonsense conservatives know Ron Desantis has alienated swing-state and younger voters,” the group wrote on Friday.

“Conservatives understand that we need to protect our kids, preserve women’s sports, safeguard women’s spaces and strengthen parental rights, but Ron DeSantis’ extreme rhetoric goes has just ventured into homophobic territory.”

“Desantis’ rhetoric will lose hard-fought gains in critical races across the nation. This old playbook has been tried in the past and has failed – repeatedly,” the group proclaimed. “Left-wing gays have tried to hijack the equality movement by pushing their radical sex and gender policies on children while slandering anyone who disagrees with them.”

“Ron DeSantis and his team can’t tell the difference between commonsense gays and the radical Left gays. He, sadly, sees them all the same. His naive policy positions are dangerous and politically stupid,” they charged.

Charles T. Moran, the national president of Log Cabin Republicans, also condemned DeSantis in his own post.

“You could have gone after radical queers, @RonDeSantis – but instead you went after the ones who win the @GOP votes and get Republicans elected. People like me,” he wrote. “Wrong fight to pick, bud.”

Because Trump lost.

As usual, CNN and the rest of the lying leftist media agree with you 100%.

They attempted to criminally undermine, compromise and overthrow Trump multiple times, but you say the elections are fair and square, right TexasGator?

You are not paying attention to reality then. Anyone who believes that Biden got 81 million votes, the most ever in history, is an easy sell I guess. You have t ignore all of the odds & records broken to buy that hogwash.

Ron DEE-Saintis is a Roman Catholic, he will do literally what pappy Francis commands

That is not how it works, and there are plenty of Catholics here so that you should know that is not how it works. BTW, I am backing Trump.

My only guess on that would be that Linda is highly respected in S.C. He has the MAGA vote, so perhaps Trump is trying to get the voters who support Graham. Perhaps he brought him on to show Graham how much MAGA hates him.

“Besides Trump, who do you approve of?”

None of them. They are all Collaborator Regime “conservatives”.

The oldest story on FR is wondering “what happened?” to so and so, who sounded so based when campaigning, and then turned into a DC Swamp Creature.

They take their BS “conservative” rhetoric at face value, and ignore who their donors are, who their core supporters are, who their mentors are, what companies they worked at.

The DC Swamp has been endlessly repeating this pattern for 40 years, and stupid FR BoomerCons fall for it every time !

The pattern is: get a Governor as Presidential nominee, because they know DC is unpopular, so a GOP establishment governor can pose as an “outsider” to Washington.

Youngkin was CEO of the Carlyle Group. So he is another Private Equity lizard man just like Romney.

Reno89519 made a STATEMENT before the question. And that statement is

This site has been posting deep fake videos, nothing on the Twitter account or in the videos announce or tie this toDesantis campaign. This is not from the risen Ron DeSantis campaign.

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4164888/posts?page=45#45

And the DesantisWarRoom is a blue check mark verified account that calls itself the rapid response for desantis.

If an account wasn't associated with the desantis campaign, and claimed it was, don't you think it would have been sued out of existence by now?

It was a congressman that was in congress with desantis.

And he said that he and desantis would have meetings in the shower.

The congressman said that.

>> Completely non responsive to both the post you are replying to and the post I sent directly to you earlier.

How is it possible to be non-response when replying/responding?

>> Now, please tell us what “constitutional rights” DeSantis is wanting to take away to justify your above attacks

Already responded to that repeated question in detail earlier.

Why don’t you ask sensible questions instead of posting illogical rhetoric?

Trump doesn’t really care one way or another. Yes, Trump will always respond because his nature is to get in the last words on anything.

DeSantis isn’t going to win anything without Trump voter support. And now he’s approaching nearly doing a Hillary and her Deplorables moment.

I have voted for DeSantis several times while a Florida resident. He isn’t charming me with his current gameplan. He’s becoming Just Another Politician.

I have gay and lesbian friends that I adore and love greatly. They know my opposition to their lifestyle is on religious grounds. I still care for them and cherish their friendship while at the same time they don’t shove the lifestyle in my face or use it as a tool to force a political agenda. In fact their politics are mostly conservative and very much against woke trans gender in schools.

I see both Trump and Lake seemingly take the same approach to this as I have. However, getting back to politics, they unlike me are politicians and this is a political issue especially during June. Ok so. Nothing is crammed down throats, shoved in anyone’s face by Trump or Lake. what I see is two politicians showing tolerance for Americans coming together putting America First.

I live in Florida too. I thought our Gov fantastic during Ian, especially his work to get the Sanibel causeway up so quickly. I enthusiastically voted for him and secretly hoped he would be Trumps running mate. Then the uni party got to him. The Rino wing of your party, the Bush family, the Ryan’s and the like. In the blink of an eye, everything changed about our Gov. They own him now.

I will take that New York social liberal over every single RINO and uni party supporter in your party any day, any time.

My two cents on it. the whole thing was dumb from DeSantis and the article was dumb too. Supposedly he threw a Zinger. It seems the only job of these medias is to divide and stir up hate.

Mail in ballots increased due to people being home. It’s easy to fill out a form when you have nothing to do for two years. That’s why both candidates exceeded their totals. It will not be like that in 2024. Both totals will drop big time.

If that is what you think, Meatball hasn’t a chance in hell. The guy has no appeal to voters. He is a dullard.
