Team DeSantis celebrates the end of Pride Month with zinger aimed at Trump
American Wire News ^ | July 1, 2033 | Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Governor Ron DeSantis’ campaign team released a wild culture war ad on Friday taking aim at former President Trump as Pride Month ends, using clips from “American Psycho” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” to hammer home the Florida firebrand’s leadership on issues.

“To wrap up ‘Pride Month,’ let’s hear from the politician who did more than any other Republican to celebrate it…” the DeSantis War Room tweeted with a compilation of clips showing Trump’s ties to the LGBTQ and transgender community.

The video begins with a 2016 clip of Trump telling the Republican National Convention, “I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens,” utilizing a rainbow pride flag superimposed over his image. It then showcases a number of clips of Trump with transgender Caitlyn Jenner, who is also a Republican. Then a graphic shows DeSantis with lightning bolts shooting out of his eyes next to the word “NO.”

Ads by The ad is sure to offend Trump supporters and it enraged leftist media outlets as well such as Mediaite which branded it as “bizarre” and “unhinged.” But the ad will no doubt appeal to certain demographics which was the point. It is also intended to show that DeSantis will protect children no matter what and that he stands strongly against elements of the transgender movement.

The ad touts the headline, “DeSantis Signs ‘Most Extreme Slate of Anti-Trans Laws in Modern History,’” as energetic music plays in the background and images of DeSantis stream.

According to Mediate, the ad also uses clips of necrophiliac-serial killer-rapist Patrick Bateman from “American Psycho,” British gangster Tommy Shelby from “Peaky Blinders,” and convicted fraudster Jordan Belfort from “Wolf of Wall Street” in what appears to make the point that DeSantis will fight evil.

A stylized graphic toward the end of the ad shows DeSantis depicted as an alligator with reptile eyes and spiky teeth, again in an effort to show his strength. Images of Spartans are also interspersed in the ad and, finally in another play off of “Wolf of Wall Street,” the ad declares that a real wolf has finally arrived.

Trump supporters and leftists viciously attacked the ad online.

A conservative Florida LGBTQ group called the Log Cabin Republicans took issue with the ad.

“Today’s message from the DeSantis campaign War Room is divisive and desperate. Republicans and other commonsense conservatives know Ron Desantis has alienated swing-state and younger voters,” the group wrote on Friday.

“Conservatives understand that we need to protect our kids, preserve women’s sports, safeguard women’s spaces and strengthen parental rights, but Ron DeSantis’ extreme rhetoric goes has just ventured into homophobic territory.”

“Desantis’ rhetoric will lose hard-fought gains in critical races across the nation. This old playbook has been tried in the past and has failed – repeatedly,” the group proclaimed. “Left-wing gays have tried to hijack the equality movement by pushing their radical sex and gender policies on children while slandering anyone who disagrees with them.”

“Ron DeSantis and his team can’t tell the difference between commonsense gays and the radical Left gays. He, sadly, sees them all the same. His naive policy positions are dangerous and politically stupid,” they charged.

Charles T. Moran, the national president of Log Cabin Republicans, also condemned DeSantis in his own post.

“You could have gone after radical queers, @RonDeSantis – but instead you went after the ones who win the @GOP votes and get Republicans elected. People like me,” he wrote. “Wrong fight to pick, bud.”

Zinger, huh?

So I got curious about American Wire News.

https://americanwirenews.com/about-us/

“...AW News is part of the publishing division owned by Olympic Media, a digital advertising and fundraising company. It is managed independently by Michele Kirk and the same experienced editorial team which has successfully built BizPacReview into a trusted conservative brand over the course of a decade...”

Nuff said, eh?

Always trust but verify.

sin is sin. God will sort out who did things for selfish reasons, and who did things unselfishly but may look unwise or wrong by the worlds eyes/thinking.

DeSantis seems to be doing many things selfishly, make himself look good (robotically doing as told by those paying him to run/keep moving up in leadership position though he is truly no leader) but not truly having a heart for the people who are being hurt or wronged. That to me, is the huge red flag with desantis, he seems very detached from truly caring about others outside his own little world.huge character flaw, not one a country would want as leader unless they want another puppet like Obama, gwb, biden.

The Biden campaign absolutely crushed Trump’s campaign. Not even close. Trump’s campaign was lackluster by comparison and in many outlets didn’t even show up to counter Biden’s messaging. Biden’s campaign team was in completely control of that campaign from start to finish - one of the best ever run, while Trump’s campaign did virtually nothing by comparison.

Stuffed ballot boxes, etc. has nothing to do with this reality.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is actually the most delusional post ever not just on FR but perhaps the history of the internet. You are the very definition of intellectually bankrupt.
They kept Biden in the basement, out of public eye for a reason. They knew they could steal the election and they did. Your take is directly from the turds at MSNBC. Congrats.....or not.
I expect more of this from the DeSantis campaign as he continues to flounder.
It won’t do him any good, when the primary starts, Trump will roll up an insurmountable lead in delegates.
Eventually donors will “pull the plug” on DeSantos.
This is not a good way to go after Trump.
I think it's AWESOME.
This is the perennial social issue facing our society, and Trump is clearly on the wrong side of it.
So it serves to either notify those who aren't aware of Trump's position so they can consider another candidate, or force Trump to reconsider his advocacy of that horrible sinful lifestyle.
The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is proof that God himself finds few things more abhorrent.
Anyone who believes that Biden got 81 million votes, the most ever in history, is an easy sell I guess.
I don't believe all those votes were honest. So why hasn't Trump been able to do anything about it, despite having 3 years and $250M in donations given for that exact purpose? You may have heard of guys like Matt Braynard, who did some initial legwork to actually prove that mail in ballots were falsified, but Trump never did anything to assist him, or conduct any similar investigations of his own.
So unfortunately, mostly due to Trump's lack of interest in actually challenging it, 81 million is the official vote count for Biden, until someone can ever offer any proof any were falsified.
The Base dispises him. South Carolina has an open Primary and Democrats vote for him. That may change.
Of course you love the Desantis campaign site that posts deep fakes about Trump...because...well because you.
Simply perfect.....deep fakes for deep fakes.
I think deep fakes posted by any campaign are despicable, and that would include the DeSantis campaign team. But don’t forget some of the things Trump himself has posted, such as the photoshop of George Soros and other leftists being in attendance at the DeSantis campaign announcement on Twitter. Equally despicable, to anyone being fair.
You are about as intellectually dishonest, intellectually bankrupt and ignorant as anyone I have ever seen.
You have to be trying to be this stupid.
I told you already...you have exactly zero credibility here...fly away crow...fly away.
He does deserve credit.
DeSantis has done a great job in Florida and he was first bringing attention to porn in school libraries and teachers pushing weirdo sex in K-3rd grate - that was great... DeSantis put a stop to it. Again, impressive. His instincts are good. But making this battle personal is a mistake. I’m a Trump supporter but I’m also a person who feels the strongest and best ticket is Trump/DeSantis. Trump worst move would be to choose a woman as a pander. That move would elect a democrat... Biden or whoever.
For praising the work of Matt Braynard, and all the work he did to expose fraud in the 2020 election? You've probably never even heard of Matt Braynard. Matt was on Bannon's show regularly for several months after the election, going over what he was finding, and asking for contributions. All you care about is that I dared to question why Trump didn't expand on Matt's work, or do something similar. How dare anyone question the King, right?
Trump’s comments were made long before the seal was broken. See how easily you are swayed when you don’t consider the timeline of events. DeSantis is hoping people won’t notice the deceptiveness of his video.
Trump went all in in the past week during his 2 speeches to Conservative Christians. But the fact that he is all in now is what matters.
“I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens,” is a good thing. Does DeSantis advocate allowing mob violence against them? Endorsing their sick agenda and letting them loose on kids in the government schools, and allowing them to destroy women’s collegiate sports is one thing. That should never be allowed and should be stopped. But “protecting citizens” is what the social contract is all about.
Again, a president is president for all citizens, It does not mean they will get what they demand, but they will get the same protections as every other citizen gets.
You are trying to imply that he is implying otherwise, but that is not the case at all.
