Crusius pleaded guilty in February after federal prosecutors took the death penalty off the table. But Texas prosecutors have said they will try to put Crusius on death row when he stands trial in state court. That trial date has not yet been set.
Joe Spencer, Crusius’ attorney, told the judge before the sentencing that his client has a “broken brain.”
“Patrick’s thinking is at odds with reality … resulting in delusional thinking,” Spencer said.

Why not just the death penalty.....I do not understand
any mass shooter has a broken brain. I doubt however that if he was darker the punishment wouldn’t be as severe.

The way the system works, even if they give him the death penalty he will probably be drawing social security before they x=carry it out.
I’m sure he’s thankful that he only got 90 consecutive life terms instead of 95.
The death penalty is too cruel. Such a murderer should be sentenced to a Short Life term, thirty days at least, ninety days a the most.
That is what makes the death penalty cruel, cruel to the society.
Dont forget about time served....
Should be taken out to the town square and publicly executed.

He went further in his rant posted before the attack, sounding warnings that Hispanics were going to take over the government and economy.’

If your on death row in CA, your far more likely to die of old age then be executed.
As of January 2023, There were 671 prisoners on CA’s death row.
From 1992 to September 2021, there were 13 executions carried out in California.
