It ain't just NYPD in NY, the retreat is going on everywhere. Police work is subject to absolute political scrutiny and second-guessing anymore, and any cop anywhere can find themselves thrown under the bus on behalf of political expediency, whether local, state or federal, made worse by a hostile federal government hovering around to swoop down at any opportunity they can exploit. The work environment has become hostile in ways never before seen in this nation.

My dad was NYPD for 23 years and was active during the 70’s. This is much worse.
I have two nephews who are NYPD. They been wait listed on two towns in nearby Westchester and are just waiting to get the call so they can leave the craphole that is NY chitty and the NYPD
