Even people who aren’t otherwise familiar with the Bible tend to know it, and often on movies and television, when we see someone praying, it’s the Lord’s Prayer.
We find the most familiar text of the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 in the King James Version:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
But one leader in the Church of England has come to the conclusion that the Lord’s Prayer is “problematic,” and I bet you can guess why.
“The archbishop of York has suggested that opening words of the Lord’s Prayer, recited by Christians all over the world for 2,000 years, may be ‘problematic’ because of their patriarchal association,” the Guardian reports.
“I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have laboured rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,” Stephen Cottrell said in his opening address to a meeting of the Church of England’s General Synod.
As you could probably expect, Cottrell’s offhand remark created some ripples. According to one female Anglican priest, Cottrell “put his finger on an issue that’s a really live issue for Christians and has been for many years.” She continued, “The big question is, do we really believe that God believes that male human beings bear his image more fully and accurately than women? The answer is absolutely not.”

But if he's saying God meets some kind of non-binary, pedo-grooming, hedonist standard then -- nope.

He didn't come to make peace or protect the feelings of this misguided prelate.
Further, not everyone who claims to follow Christ has anything to do with Christ. Also, plain Bible teaching.
For example, baptism. It's essential to be saved. But, what is it? It's is a burial. The word itself means to "dip, immerse, plunge." The Ethiopian eunuch was baptized by Philip the Evangelist. (Acts 8) They both "went down into the water."
Sprinkling is not baptism. Pouring is not baptism. No person who has substituted either of those for baptism have, in fact, been baptized. Hence, are not following Christ. Hence, are not saved.
The list goes on and the individual referenced in the OP, sure, the Lord's prayer is a problem. But, for him, following Christ is a problem because he does not follow Christ. Never has.
Matt 7:21-23: Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So this guy thinks he’s smarter than Jesus.
The Founders were correct, we did need to disestablish from this.

First they allow women pastors. Then a “Christian” leader calls something problematic. Then the sheep follow this demonically influenced leader. Then governments step in. Then oppression of followers of Jesus sets in. The demonic leaders rejoice.
It’s the archbishop’s opinion. It’s OK, everybody has one. I, for instance, find the archbishop problematic.
The Church of England started because Henry VIII couldn’t get the Pope to grant him a divorce from his legal wife, Catherine of Aragon. So he started a church, made himself head of it, divorced her, exiled Queen Catherine, when she died would not let her be buried as a Queen, couldn’t get an heir to the throne from his second wife either, Ann Boleyn, beheaded her, cheated on all of them anyway, on and on...
That was the beginning of a church that now has an Archbishop saying the Our Father prayer, instructed to us from Jesus, is wrong.
I am always glad when an elightened cleric comes along and sets us straight on the errors committed by the church for the past 2000 years, including those committed by Jesus himself.
I believe the attendance in the C of E is something less than 5% of the population, so we are getting close to an “if a tree falls in the woods and there is no one to hear it...” moment.

The only problem with praying The Lord’s Prayer is that it is unnecessary to pray “Thy Kingdom Come”.
It’s already here.
I think the title "archbishop" is problematic when a moron like Stephen Cottrell has it.
