First - global satellite temperatures did not even begin until 1979.
So, we are discussing the alleged hottest temps in 43 years - NOT in global history.
Second - the satellite temperatures are charted by their MONTHLY average.
They are NOT charted day by day, which is how the RECORD HOT temps have been reported.
If compared MONTH by MONTH, the average global temp for May and June 2023 is equal to, or less than, 21 (21!) previously posted months, starting with the El Nino year of 1998.
Almost all of those previous high monthly temps came in El Nino years, which we have just begun in 2023.
