I won't vote for him. I'll write Trump's name in, if he's not on the ballot.

That was an amazingly bad move.
What bothers me is people who think that the Gaza Wall is great, but the Trump Wall is racist.
Or the people who say America is on stolen land - give it back. But Israel should conquer and keep whatever it can.

That was back in 2004, and it was for Trump Tower in Chicago. It's almost 20 years, and a lot has changed since then.

Like many conservatives/Republicans like myself, DeSantis probably just eventually saw Trump as a failure on the biggest issues facing us.
The wall, the debt, locking the country down over the phony covid scare, signing exec orders for free rent, pushing untested dna modifying shots on us at warp speed, flip flopping on gay marriage, restocking the deep state with his horrible appointments, threats to assault weapons, bragging about the WEF, etc.
As Trump himself once said, what have you got to lose?

Tales of grandeur. I can see Ron with stars in his his eyes, as the insiders calling the shots smile, wink and nod. I wonder how much Ron is going bank on this? Probably a lot.
He’ll be taken the butthurt bus back to Miami, but he’ll have more money. ☺
This bonehead move by DeSantis has been a disaster for the country. The American nation will be grievously harmed and may not survive with another Biden like cabal in charge for another four years. Trump/De Santis IMHO was the best hope for a Republican victory in 2024. Sadly De Santis did not have the wisdom to tolerate Trump’s eccentrics and play a critical role in history as his VP. In 2028 he would have been the clear favorite to win the Presidency. Now if the Democrats win in 2024, it may not matter who the Republican nominee is in 2028.

His shelf life expired the minute he decided to oppose Trump.
I simply don’t care about Ron’s military service. He did it after law school- when he had already left his limited private sector experience (one year of prep school teacher and limited summers in various college jobs)- akin to Beau Biden (or as Hunter attempted), Pete Buttegieg and George Pedro Bush- its not the same as a genuine patriot or enlistee or officer- its a check in a box. That he served an evil cause (and so many of us were misled/ lied to- but Ron never even hints at that, does he?) in a toxic military role of commissar/ politruk doesn’t bolster my esteem. Ron wanted to be President when he was a kid- its not a terribly unique or shocking aspiration- but it has informed every decision he has ever made- to me that is disqualifying beyond all else.
The only reason I'll be voting for him is that he hasn't changed one bit since he rode down that escalator in 2015.
