Ah, but if we drilled our oil, we’d again be an energy exporter, if we brought industry back to the US, we’d be leading supplier. The problem is whether we have the self-respect and self-confidence as a national to be exceptional again. Too much of what we’ve seen over the past 30+ years is fatalism, defeatism, fear-mongering hysteria that is causing the US to shutdown, open our borders, and surrender.
Sure, if America was a God-fearing nation, with a competent leadership who cared about the population they ruled - all that and more could happen.
But neither of those things are true - especially amongst the elites, and rapidly spreading to all but a remnant of the population.
Until that changes, the USA is just going to go down and down and down and down, as well as doing color revolutions to any country in the West that tries to fix itself.
