Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that President Joe Biden’s decision to send cluster bombs to Ukraine was needed because the nation would have been “defenseless” without it.
Mitchell said, “You have talked about NATO’s unity. There is disagreement over the cluster munitions, clearly. More than 100 nations have banned them. We knew that this counteroffensive was coming. By many reports, it’s bogged down, it’s difficult, the Russians are dug in. So why didn’t we earlier supply enough conventional munitions so that they would have enough ammunition without resorting to these deadly weapons?”

Within the last 2 weeks CJCS Milley said Ukraine had everything they needed to have a successful counteroffensive and drive Russia out.
Seems like the US government is even lying to itself.

Two months ago our Ukie flacks told US Russians were fighting with shovels while using refrigerators for missile parts. They also told us Putin has cancer and is on his death bed. They were spreading NATO propaganda to hide the fact that the Ukraine is getting beaten to a pulp.
Whining that cluster munitions are “deadly” in sort of odd. Do people think thermobaric explosives, napalm, conventional bombs and shells, HIMARS, cruise missiles, rockets, rpgs, etc. are not deadly?
America has never had this pitiful, disgusting and dangerous to our very survival level of “leadership”. They are effectively destroying America and they love it.

NATO is out of ammo.
Cluster munitions are effective when you have an assembled concentration of manpower. The RF isn’t fighting that way in order to mitigate potential loss from precision munitions. UKF needs 155mm high explosive shells to attack trenches, hardened shelters, armored vehicles and artillery pieces. Cluster munitions cannot do these jobs.
The main point here is that there are no more 155mm shells to give.
The minute we stop cash transfers to Ukraine, their economy collapses.
The minute we stop arms flows to prop up the Ukraine , their military gets overrun and they have a complete military collapse. .
We have sent up to 30% of our pre Ukraine invasion weapons stockpiles of critical weapons to Ukraine .
These weapons cannot be replaced in the near term and the few remaining responsible military leaders are pushing back saying no mas, we have no more to give without degrading our reserves.
So they are looking under the couch cushions to find weapons stockpiles of anything in inventory that we have enough of to spare some so they can ship to Ukraine .
We seem to have a surplus of the Left's hated cluster munitions to send to Ukraine and we are sending them because it's about all we have left to spare.
Zelensky is defenseless without the cluster bombs! Which he still hasn't yet received, 500 plus days into this mess.
The counter offensive shows Ukraine winning / losing.
Intelligence agencies say Russia is winning / losing.
In earnest, the US government says things are going well / things are not going well.
Biden says we're are running out of ammunition / not running out of ammunition.

Not that I have a problem with seeing Russia get a foot in the rear by anyone they have invaded, but the propaganda coming from Ukraine, Russia, and the US is nearly incomprehensible.
