Diversity activists are accusing the entertainment industry of “corporate blackface” and running out of “White guilt” after a number of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) executives at top entertainment and media companies suddenly stepped down or were forced out of their roles.
Between June 20 and July 3, at least five executives overseeing DEI initiatives at leading entertainment companies including Disney, Netflix and Warner Bros. Discovery, left their posts.
All the outgoing execs are Black women.
An LA Times story published Tuesday linked the high-profile exits to the backlash against “wokeness” by conservative politics and pundits, as many speculate whether the job changes are a result of the growing pushback to the left’s diversity push.
The story, titled “High-profile exits spark fears that Hollywood diversity pledges are just ‘PR,’ focuses its ire on the entertainment industry, citing a number of outraged equity activists who accused Hollywood of making insincere commitments to diversity and racial justice programs for “PR” purposes after the George Floyd protests in the summer of 2020.
“Numerous diversity-centered initiatives were established. More transparency around issues of race was assured.
But companies have since begun to scale back such commitments and, in some cases, employees dedicated to diversity initiatives, leading some insiders and advocates to fear that the doors to more opportunities once again have been slammed shut,” the LA Times story reads.

I find this interesting. Disney is not the first woke company to do so. Are they doing this in response to Bud Light and the Indiana Jones flop, or did these woke companies never want these positions in the first place and felt free to get rid of dead weight the moment the SC overturned affirmative action

It's more than than. They are not mere ballasts, they are cancers within a company who will destroy good companies inside out. Firing them is like chemotherapy.
Meaning Fink, the guy who was videoed earlier crowing that "behavior must be forced" was sorry he got caught bullying and now wants to call it something else. The spots may change but the leopard is still the same. Why corporations should hire entitled black women just to be intolerable scolds is a bit of a mystery; but that they are being forced to is pretty clear.
The DEI slobs were fired b/c they lost companies millions w/ this DEI garbage.
Disney lost $900 million w/ a bunch of loser woke films.
They should sue Disney.
Any company that lives by DEI deserves to die by DEI.

Focus is changing, away from race hustlers, toward lack of “transparency around” issues such as federal government agents and agencies making statements for purposes of evasion.
Part of layoffs throughout the industry. Streaming companies are losing billions of dollars, and tomorrow the actors go on strike, causing more billions down the drain.
