In an announcement Thursday, the 2024 Trump campaign said the Sound of Freedom screening will take place July 19 at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. President Trump will be joined by actor Jim Caviezel as well as the man he plays in the movie — former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard, who quit his job to devote himself to rescuing children from international traffickers.

The screening will be open to club members and supporters, the Trump campaign said.
In 2019, President Trump met with Tim Ballard at the White House to discuss the importance of Trump’s border wall in deterring child trafficking.

Sound of Freedom has emerged as the sleeper hit of the summer, so far grossing $50 million at the domestic box office. The movie was the top-grossing movie on its opening day of July 4, beating Disney’s Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny while playing on half as many screens.
This week, Sound of Freedom has repeated that feat by topping the box office on Monday and Tuesday.

Since the begining of July, President Trump has gone all in on the Culture War
I really liked it too and loved the cartel guy
Republicans should grab the campaign title of:
Republicans are the ANTI- SLAVERY Party!!!
Republicans **fight** SLAVERY!
Republicans are PRO-FREEDOM!
This is money on the floor just waiting to be picked up!
This should be easy to prove. Everywhere they go this family leaves DNA.
No, Trump going all in on the Culture War, and stopping attacking from the left, took away DeSantis’s best issue.
The Democrat Party was the pro-slavery party. It apparently still is.
It's to be expected that the Democrat Party would be in favor of child trafficking, enslavement, and exploitation, sexual and otherwise, and would oppose this movie, which exposes it in all its horror and magnitude and calls for a 21st century "Underground Railroad" to free trafficked and enslaved people.
How anyone other than a twisted, monstrous, psychopathic sicko could oppose this movie and its message is beyond my comprehension!
I agree that “name calling” shouldn’t take place on FR. Good thing I didn’t do any “name calling.”
One of my all-time SciFi movies. I especially loved the end theme song, sung by Garth Brooks.

There are YouTube Vids of Trump hosting Ballard and others discussing the trafficking and other border issues.
I still don’t know of a reasonable person’s explanation as to how they could oppose the fight against sexual exploitation and trafficking.
Caviezel is my new favorite movie star, and this movie is the reason. Previously I didn't know who he was.
Everybody in this movie was excellent--notably the children and the bad guys and women. Mira Sorvino is my new favorite actress. The woman who played the procurer was chillingly splendid; I can't forget her or imagine how she managed such a portrayal, but she was so good!
It's so characteristic of Donald Trump, in all his innate goodness and decency, to champion this movie and its message.
I “provide cover” for DeSantis?
I pointed out that DeSantis has done an excellent job protecting kids from predators, and you dismiss that as merely “providing cover”?
To my knowledge, DeSantis hasn’t said anything publicly about this film. I saw it on opening day, and personally think it’s an extremely important film. I would love to hear DeSantis promote it.
That said, just because DeSantis hasn’t publicly commented on this film doesn’t mean that he’s somehow weak when it comes to protecting kids from predators. To say such a thing is baseless.
Finally, what do you mean in your second sentence to me? Are you “making this personal” with me? You know Jim doesn’t appreciate when FReepers “get personal” with their insults.
The Republican Party was founded as the Anti-Slavery Pro-Freedom Party! It still is!
Shout it from the mountain tops--and get to work!
I don’t care to. I didn’t say he/she/it is male. I said the kids were purchased.
Absolutely! This is great!
But he can't rest on his laurels. His silence on this movie speaks volumes, which tend to take away from his previous actions.
Did he do what he did purely for his political career only?
He should have jumped on this movie right out of the gate.
Even Trump stayed silent for too long, in my humble opinion. But he is the first & only candidate to attention to the issue of child trafficking. Trump should get the credit for that too, shouldn't he?
Are you congratulating Trump for being the first to shine a light on the issue? Trump actually shined the light on the issue long before DeSantis ever did. He shined that light during his presidency by separating children from their parents in order to verify they were the child's parent(s).
I generally do not like obscenities, but there are times when there's no better way to put it--like the time the Governor of Alabama said to the Ku Klux Klan: "Kiss my a--."
I saw a post somewhere on the internet by a woman addressing those who oppose this movie as follows: "It's about child trafficking, you f------ ghouls!" I loved that remark.
There are a myriad of problems with the Obamas politically, the biological parents of their children is not one of them.
The statement you posted was clearly intended to imply that Michelle Obama is a man and that Barak Obama is in a homosexual marriage with a transvestite.
I did not like when PT was attacking DeSantis from the left on Disney. Circumstances changed. At the Faith and Freedom Summit he finally went full bore on the Anti- lbgt agenda, (some of that is no more javanka, inc. Whispering poison in his ear.
