In an official statement, the government clarified that while film classification falls under their jurisdiction, it is the responsibility of the movie producers to facilitate its release in Honduras.

A large percent of this movie is in spanish and it is about children from Honduras that are trafficked. This show is going to be extremely popular in countries South of the Border if it gets released there

Having these sorts of things happening in their country has undoubtedly caught the officials by surprise.

We need a fundraiser to raise money for bribes? I’d laugh, except that you’re probably right.

I don’t think this happening in Honduras caught the officials by surprise, at least not the complicit ones

“negative response” must signify the views of leadership in the government.

I wouldn’t say a large percentage is in Spanish, but to say NONE of it is in Spanish is just wrong.
Are you sure you saw the movie?

I haven't seen the movie yet; but reading summaries, it seems the local police worked with the rescuers to save the children.

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but reading the revues; it seems the local police cooperated in catching the bad guys and freeing the children.

So, my aunt and her friend went to go see The Sound of Freedom at a multiplex in a tony suburb of Columbus (one of those theatres that has a bar you can buy wine from and bring it into the theatre), and they couldn’t go because the only seats left were in the front row. The next two showings didn’t have any less intolerable seats. And these showings were only an hour apart, meaning this multiplex was running two showings all day long in two different theatres.
