Be very wary of Erdogan.
I don’t for one second believe he has the west’s best interests in mind.
History teaches us that one baddie always replaces another, and usually it’s the guy who helped us defeat the previous baddie.
That’s exactly what Turkey is. They just want Russia out of the way, to bring back The Ottoman Empire.
Erdogan is leader of a failed state. He flounders around completely unable to come up with the means to reverse his countries decline.
All the world knows it. He has been approached by many offering help but turned it away.

Nor does the west have the west’s best interests in mind.
It appears he has Erdogan’s and to a lesser extent, Turkey’s best interests in mind. I can’t fault him for that.
