As far as this naval blockade goes. Russian has some of the “Black Hole” submarine’s’ in the Black sea. How many? NATO doesnt know since they and the US Navy have been having a hell of a time tracking them. Those subs have the capability to launch the newest Russian missiles from them.
Right now, any US/NATO naval ships are stuck there and will have to pay what amounts to be a ransom to get out. Those ships have to be resupplied.
The Turkish Navy alone is about 2X the Black Sea fleet.
In the region only the Ukrainian Navy is weak enough for the Russians to prevail, or to some extent anyway, as the Ukes have major coastal defenses. As, of course, the Ukrainians have no major vessels.

Station a couple subs near the Straits entrance to the Black Sea and not a GD thing can get out. NOTHING will get out unless they let them.
To ID ships all they have to do is do intel work from the air and convey that to the war ships on station. That way the Ukies wont be able to fly a foreign flag and get out that way.

Or any Western nation can provide Ukraine with weapons to destroy every ship and submarine, and all of the oil tanks and buildings in Sevastopol. How exactly will Russia maintain any blockade in the Black Sea without its naval base there?
