Floyd, who was Black, died on May 25, 2020, after Chauvin, who is white, pressed a knee on his neck for 9 1/2 minutes Besides the fatal levels of fentanyl in Floyd's system, I recall the county coroner saying that Floyd's airway was not damaged by the restraint (which by the way, was taught to officers and was included in the Minn. PD instruction manual)
