My name is Prisha Mosley and I’m a 25-year-old woman and detransitioner. Since childhood, I have struggled with my mental health. As is the case for many girls, my teen years were particularly difficult. Tragically, at age 14, I suffered from a sexual assault. At age 15, I was hospitalized for depression. By age 16, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and an eating disorder. I engaged in self-harm by cutting myself, which became so serious that I was taken to the emergency room.
Starting when I was 16 years old, and continuing into my teen and young adult years, doctors and counselors set me on a path of medicalized "gender transition." They told me that changing my body to look like a boy’s body would cure my mental health problems. They told me that injecting large amounts of testosterone into my female body would be good for me. They also encouraged me to undergo surgery to remove my healthy breasts.
I trusted these health care providers to take care of me. Because of that relationship of trust, and my vulnerable condition, I believed what they said and I thought they were treating me properly.
Years later, I realized that I had been lied to and misled in the worst possible way. Years of taking testosterone prevented my body from developing as it should have. It caused significant vaginal atrophy and the inability to have intercourse.
My voice was permanently changed; I was no longer able to lift my voice and sing, which I used to love doing. I experienced severe pain in my shoulders, neck, and genital area. I do not know if I will be able to conceive and give birth to a child.

Prisha, we got 81 genders now. Changing from one to the other doesn’t have to be as traumatic as it was for you. Most of the time, no surgery or hormones required.
Must be nice to be so above it all that you are confident in victim-shaming. Hope you never suffer any terrifying illness, are never raped and terrorized, and never get taken advantage of in life, because sometimes soul-crushing events really do happen to good people without adequate defenses. May God preserve you from harm.
We should be grateful that she is not letting shame stand in the way of her coming forward for the benefit of other children who are under this wicked pressure. I can only pray for her a full mental recovery, in spite of being mutilated by powerful adults who should have known better.
Fortunate child victims of sexual assault with a good support system or who were raised to be mentally strong may get over a sexual assault fairly rapidly. Unfortunate children without those strengths take longer, some never. She is an individual, with her own circumstances. You "admitted" what you ultimately denied.
Putting words in peoples mouths based on your thought and opinion process apparently makes you feel better. Have at it, I don’t give a flying F’ one way or another and what people think of me is their problem not mine. That in itself is a huge problem in today’s youth. It’s all about “look at me”, how many “likes” did I get, you didn’t “like” me so I’m suicidal.. good end “you” for the rest of us then.
People go through traumatic events all the but don’t change their gender especially at 16. Look between you’re legs and that’s what you are it’s that damn simple. Male/Female, there is nothing else and that’s pure biological science, not today’s ideological science and medicine based on emotions. This “thing” is a freak period and can’t deal with life so “it” blames everyone else for “it’s” problems.
As for the idiots that did the surgery they should be exterminated with extreme prejudice by the judicial system but that’s about as F’d up as it gets as well.

Sadly, in about 20 states, it is AGAINST THE LAW to provide actual mental health counseling to help people with gender dysphoria.
Something like 65% of girls wanting to be boys have an underlying mental disorder such as on the spectrum for autism, anxiety, OCD, etc. So in those 20 states that mental disorder doesn't get treated fully, and the “only” way to treat gender dysphoria is medically! That is also the stance taken by the major health and psychiatric groups as well! And of course that is what the doctors and mental health "professionals" tell the kids and parents.

Those individuals were exceptional. I have pity on any teen who is misled as this girl was. We’re taught to respect and cooperate with doctors and other authority figures. Factor in the horribly harmful effects of social media, and you have a recipe for disaster. Blaming a stupid teen is ridiculous. Parents and societal norms used to keep most in line. No longer.

From what I experienced with my own kids, kids these days are making their own decisions early on in life, and then want to blame someone else when they fall. I can stomach diving in the pool or trying to ride their bikes backwards, or egging neighborhood houses. but something like this is where I draw the line. And I cut them loose...
I dont give in at all to anyone who trys to blame someone else for their decisions. period. I turn my baxk and walk away...

You nailed the problem.. Stupid Teen. They buy into all this Social Media crap. Parents are also to blame along with the Dr’s etc but at 16 “it” should have been smart enough to know what gender “it” is.
I’ve got teen aged grand kids, 13 - 16 (3 of them) and they definitely know what sex/gender they are, are very conservative for their ages and say all this gender crap is a fad kids are trying because they think it’s cool. They think it’s sick which is exactly what it is.

It sounds like you are raising your kids with common sense. But some children are not that lucky.

She's a woman. She had a mental illness when she was a young teen, and greedy doctors took advantage of her. They mutilated her body for money. She shouldn't be blamed for her predicament. However, her parents should've known better. For some reason, these people who were mutilated as minors seem unwilling to blame their parents who must've consented to the mutilation.
I’ll stand by what I said. You started out saying, “She’s a woman” so you’re a sexist to begin with depending on on your political affiliation.
99% of today’s youths are pussies who demand everything for nothing, can’t carry on a a face to face conversation, are incapable of rational thought and for the most part are brain dead. (NOTICE I DIDNT SAY ALL OF THEM) Parents of these psychologically screwed up kids are as much to blame as the kids. They’re useless members of society with nothing to offer or for those who can’t figure that out, Liberals.
It’s a disease that needs to be eradicated.
