Well, lots of people are in that section of the Venn diagram where “smart enough to use the internet” and “dumb enough to believe anything” meet up.
Hmm, I’m still leaning toward drugs. People can be convinced of all kinds of dumb things when their self interest does not depend on getting it right. However, they start being way more cautious when a mistake would be disastrous to their self interest.
