Oregon has a long history with the Chinese. I’m sure Chinese/ Japanese is all samey-same with that demographic, though.
Back in WWII, Chinese had to put up signs explaining they're Chinese and not Japanese, in order to stop assaults on them by other Americans.
Asians all look the same to blacks, who don't understand the differences. I was getting a haircut from a Vietnamese woman a few days ago, she had just returned from visiting Vietnam. I asked if she also visited Korea, Japan and other countries. She told me to never go to Korea, and blasted the culture and people. She was good with Japan and Thailand. But hated Koreans. My wife is Chinese-American, and gets upset when people think she's Philippina. Asians have their differences with each other, but I like them all.
