From what I can recall from reporting at the time the fake bombs had simple kitchen timers attached. They were not actually the type that could be set to go off at a certain time.
I’m convinced they were placed there by the FBI in order to pretend Trump supporters were responsible. Leftist believed it because all they had heard for the previous few years is how violent conservatives are on a daily basis.

I haven’t read all the responses but, I wonder if maybe, just maybe the SS failing to follow security protocol and dropping Harris off where they did was not an accident.
They were apparently real, as they are still referred to as pipe bombs to this day, it just wasn’t set up to actually go off, if I remember correctly.
