You work hard for, say, twenty years. Finally, you’re promoted. Meanwhile, your boss turns from a rational, logical thinker to a woke, gender confused idiot. Fail to support your boss and you can throw your entire career away. Then, they call you to testify about what your boss is making you do and because it’s meaningless babble, you babble meaninglessly. He’s thinking, “Oh, my God, just X more years, months, days, I can retire with full benefits. My ass is so screwed.” I know a guy this happened to. He was the best, most honest man I ever worked for. One day he came to me crying. Literally, crying. Barely able to talk he said, “I have to charge X hours to Y project. Don’t meet it, they fire me.” I said, “I submitted my timecard by mistake. Please return it to me so I can properly charge the project I worked on.” It didn’t make him feel any better, but he was able, in a few months, to retire with the full benefits he’d worked an entire career to earn. (I wrote a letter to Senator McCain describing what rocks to turn over to find the fraud the newspaper said he was looking for. He never looked.)
