Leon Panetta says he doesn't regret signing infamous letter implying Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinfo
Fox News ^ | 7/26/2023 | Joseph A Wulfsohn

After several news organizations authenticated the laptop's contents, CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins asked the ex-Obama official Monday night whether he wished he never signed the letter "given what we know now."

"No, not at all," Panetta told Collins. "I signed that letter for one reason, which was to make the American people aware that the Russians deliberately were engaged in a disinformation campaign in the United States and trying to impact on our election and trying to impact on our ability to have free and fair elections. That's why I signed that letter."

The ex-CIA director continued, "And very frankly, I have seen no evidence to the contrary that Russia has not engaged in that kind of disinformation campaign.

"Right, but we just haven't seen evidence affirming that either," Collins added before wrapping up the interview.

Just a reminder that Democrats, no matter how blatantly they get caught, will ever give up the lie. Look at how Schiff is celebrated by them for lying for years about having seen Russian collusion evidence that he never produced, and it's probably going to earn him Feinstein's senate seat. When cornered, they dissemble and deflect and say they have no regrets.

If Biden is impeached, I predict that he will not gain a single Democrat vote besides perhaps Manchin who is facing nearly insurmountable reelection odds. Short of Biden coming out and admitting to taking bribes, which will never happen for reasons I just mentioned, no amount of evidence and witnesses will otherwise move a single congressman or senator to impeach.

Every one of the signers should have their Top Secret Clearances revoked. And, they should be made to reapply for them.

That will hit them in the pocketbook. And, it would not require any court involvement.

Since they are all out of government now, they should only get TSs back if there’s a need like a contract that require such a clearance. A TS because they need to be on TV to comment on world affairs is not a proper reason!

Amazingly that’s the law even more amazingly it has seemed to have been ignored for decades!

I’ll never understand why once these people either leave office or leave an administrative job that they continue to have access to classified information.

Why, other than to possibly leak it to the media or sell it to other countries. The second you’re out of that job, clearance should be immediately revoked.

In other words, “The means justify the end. Panetta wouldn’t know the truth if it bit him on the ass. He will receive his rewards someday, either in this life or the next.

When you don't have integrity or a sense of shame, I suppose it is a very easy thing to say.

Of course he doesn't.

It helped him achieve his objective: getting Biden elected and Trump out of office.

If he signed such trash, did anybody actually expect him to regret it??

Whatever it took to get a Democrat to hold the Executive power again. That was the goal. And mission accomplished.

Bill Clinton publicly outlined the playbook... deny, deny, deny.

Of course he doesn’t regret. Democrats are sociopaths and don’t feel guilt, shame, remorse, empathy etc like normal people.

Leon Panetta is guilty of treason. He didn’t sign that fraudulent letter as Joe Citizen, he signed it as the former CIA Director and Secretary of Defense.
