Kimberly Mata-Rubio, the mother of one of the victims in the Robb Elementary School massacre in Uvalde, Texas, has announced her plans to run for mayor in a special election.
Rubio, whose ten-year-old daughter Alexandria “Lexi” Rubio died in the shooting, announced the launch of her campaign through her city’s local newspaper, The Uvalde Leader-News, on Thursday.
Rubio, an advertising executive at the Uvalde Leader-News, told the local media outlet that she wants to represent her community, serving as a voice for the underserved whose voices have been long underrepresented.

We just received the blessing of a female SJW democrat as our new mayor recently.
A city of over a million is now being run by an ex news reader on a local tv station with absolutely NO political experience.....not even a position on the schoolboard.
Her qualifications? Shes a female that had an uncle that was mayor once upon a time and she is a breast cancer survivor.
As a news reader she had an affair with the weatherman at the same station, got caught, divorced her sportscaster husband who was also at the same station, and there were children in the middle of all that.
The proverbial bar for political office has been lowered to a disgustingly low level my friend......National, state AND local.
You go girl, wave the bloody shirt!
No worse than all the lawyers who run with smooth talking their only qualification.

That’s the general consensus of anyone here with a modicum common sense.
The problem is common sense ain’t so common anymore.
Only way I can explain it is her bei a breast cancer survivor resonated with women here....a GREAT reason to vote for someone to run the city. SMH
There were multiple agencies involved, but yeah, Uvalde PD needs an overhaul.
