I honestly think Zelensky is trying to get Russia to use a tactical nuke in Ukraine. Every time Putin sets a red line, saying “You do this, and we’ll use nukes!” Zelensky immediately bends over backwards to do just that. Zelensky likely thinks (probably correctly) that Russia using a nuke would be the one thing that pulls NATO into the fight on the side of Ukraine.

And what is going to happen once NATO is in? Do you think that they are going to nuoe Moscow? The idea that Russia is going tobl nuke Ukraine is stupid. It is not 1950s. I see no use for tactical nuke in this conflict.
100% for sure he is. It’s his only hope of bringing NATO in for direct action or creating an entirely new dynamic; in the current one he’s doomed for certain.

NATO would run from that as fast as they could.
Bingo—Mr. Z must get Russia to use a Nuke—a small one! If he can’t. Russia will wear him down and win over time. Benefits of the Nuke attack are... 1) China will condemn Putin and stop all support—maybe join with west to dismember Russia. 2) Horrified NATO will rush aid, Money, medical supplies, and troops instantly to Ukraine. 3) Russian-occupied Ukraine will be flattened if not nuked. 4) All of the west will attack at once, crossing the borders in the “Crush Putin” attack to seize Moscow and free the Russian people from tyrant Putin. 5) Total victory for Ukraine and world status for Mr. Zelenskyy.
I completely understand Zelensky wanting to hit back on Russia proper. The Japs used the 40s version of drones with their balloon attacks on the West Coast after the B29s began visiting untold horror on Jap cities, but this is just stupid and dangerous. Putin is as close to Stalin and Hitler as I seen in my lifetime. He has no brakes from his govt on his actions. He kills his opponents. If Zelensky keeps this up he or his fellow Ukies will not like Putin’s response. And we will likely respond. And then Fred Thomson’s lines may very well come true. “ This business will get out of control and we’ll be lucky to live through it!”
If they come close to retaking Crimea, that is exactly what will happen.
