Despite the commonly held view that demon possessed people behave like Linda Blair in the movie, The Exorcist. Demonic possession or influence might not be characterized by crazed physical manifestations. In fact Christ upbraided the Sanhedrin Pharisees with the following:

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

And yet there are many who don't believe in demonic possession, despite its prominence in the Gospels and Acts. If there were that many demon possessed people in the tiny area of Judea in Jesus' time, imagine how many there were world wide. There's no reason to think they are not present in equal measure today. I take it that this kid is still alive - hope someone lays hands on him and casts out the demon(s) in him.
