On July 25, 2023, Potts died in the crash of a Piper PA-28 Cherokee that he was piloting near Havre de Grace, Maryland. He was 59.[8] The crash is under investigation by the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.[9]

If it was General Potts or the Australian officers, why don't the Russians produce the bodies? If General Potts did die in an airplane crash in Maryland, it should be relatively easy to find an autopsy report from the coroner. If we can be skeptical of the killing of Osama bin Laden 12 years ago, there is as much reason to doubt the Russians.
