How big of a coincidence was it that the movie “China Syndrome” came out in March of 1979 and the Three Mile Island occurred 2 weeks later and then 71 new nuclear power plant orders were cancelled between 1979 and 2001.
I guess the oil and gas companies and enviro-wackos just got real lucky.
Ironically Three Mile Island would have never occurred if the operators hadn’t interrupted the shut down. The plant was in the process of shutting down but the operators didn’t believe what they were seeing so they stopped it causing the issue.
