Intelligence agencies have been manipulating the online encyclopedia for more than a decade, Larry Sanger has claimed
Wikipedia is one of many tools used by the US liberal establishment and its allies in the intelligence community to wage “information warfare,” the site’s co-founder, Larry Sanger, has told journalist Glenn Greenwald.
Speaking on Greenwald’s ‘System Update’ podcast, Sanger lamented how the site he helped found in 2001 has become an instrument of “control” in the hands of the left-liberal establishment, among which he counts the CIA, FBI, and other US intelligence agencies.
“We do have evidence that, as early as 2008, that CIA and FBI computers were used to edit Wikipedia,” he said. “Do you think that they stopped doing that back then?”

Years ago, I noticed that they had an entry on the Little Ice Age that was very clear and made it clear that a general warming trend was well under way before the 1950’s.
Since CO2 isn’t a player until the 1950’s, somebody went back and muddied the article so that it wasn’t a refutation of the stupid hockey stick model.

Now Russia has set up a program to edit all Wikis that defame or otherwise insult Russia, incorrectly cite Russian history and the Russian worldview.

That’s what they do. It’s Russia. The last democratically elected President of Russia laid siege to the Dumas and took out the members of the opposition and had them shot. Then he proved to be such an incompetent lush that he let Putin take over and resigned. But he was pretty impressive when he climbed onto that tank. Now it’s Putin, Putin and more Putin. What else would he do.
America is not supposed to be like that. But it’s not surprising that they now are, and have been for a long time. Just disappointing.
