NEW YORK -- Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis said definitively that rival Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, an acknowledgement the Florida governor made after years of equivocating answers.
“Of course he lost,” DeSantis said an interview with NBC News posted Monday. “Joe Biden's the president.”
DeSantis has often sidestepped questions about whether he believes the 2020 election results were legitimate. But in recent days he has started publicly questioning the lies that Trump and his allies have made about the election's legitimacy.
Federal and state election officials and Trump’s own attorney general said there was no credible evidence the election’s outcome was affected by fraud. The former president’s allegations were also roundly rejected by courts at the time, including judges he appointed.

1. When ABC uses 'Trump's attorney general', they mean Bill Barr. The same Barr who sent the Biden investigation to Delaware to die. The same Barr who protected Lon Horiuchi. This is reminding me of the movie 'Fargo', where Jerry Lundegard plants a narrative about how his wife's kidnapping went down with Sam Grossman, then when questioned later on, refers the questiiner to Sam Grossman for verification--in other words, the person(s) planting the story with the media then refer back to the media for verification of the story THEY planted.
2. The media embellishes on DeSantis' comments, but imho this doesn't let DeSantis off the hook. By validating the narrative, DeSantis is assisting in perpetuating a lie--there were irregularities that were never conclusively adjudicated.
3. 'Looking ahead', in terms of the ballot harvesting etc. is good, but if the issues identified in 2020 and 2022 are not addressed, things will get worse. I think DeSantis is in a position to give voice to it. He 'is', but really 'isn't'.
4. DeSantis on weaponization of government comes off as tepid at best. Not as bad as Pence's "not my concern", but it is heading that way.
Ron....we hardly knew ya.
Gonna be hilarious watching DeathSantis whine and file lawsuits after they do the same thing to him in November, assuming if he wins the GOP nomination.
Wrong DeSantis is just trying to save his failing campaign.
The semantics game is absurd. Of course he technically ‘lost’. He is not currently the President. It’s how he lost. His ‘victory’ was stolen.
I don’t see Trump sitting in the White House. He wrote a letter to Biden that’s been describe as “generous” and vacated the premises. Also the sky is blue.
Why would DeSantis tick off half the Republican party with these comments?
What kind of moronic advisors does he have?
YEP!
Ron....we hardly knew ya.”
Very good And most of us thought we did. This gift to the rats is a worst betrayal than Pence. Disgusting.
Ron is just driving voters away faster than expected......What a fool.
Disqualifying. I used to think he was a 2028 possibility. Used to...
Ron is against one day voting.
Ron is against paper ballots over machines.
Ron promotes the Dominion legal team
Ron thinks that Biden won.
If Ron were to win the nomination (and he won't), the Democrats would cheat their a$$es off and Ron would do nothing about it...
... except laugh inappropriately.
There you have it.
As much as I like DeSantis as governor, he proves yet again that he is not prepared to confront the Deep State mafia.
He’s my Governor....he needs to come back to Florida and do something about the HIGH INSURANCE RATES!
Pence is worse......he is coming out as EVIL!
“News” lol
Bill Barr. WROTE the Rules of engagement for Ruby Ridge. Supported the 1994 assault weapon ban. Supports one for today.
He was FBI and CIA.
His dad was proto CIA associated and wrote a “fiction” sci-fi setting Epstein Island in space where they impregnate 13 year old girls.
Hired Epstein fir his first teaching job despite his having no teaching qualifications or credentials at all.
Bob Barr... deep state, pedo, gun grabbing, statist, spook, Bushie.
Desantus 2.0. Follow the media narrative to appear more moderate. Sheesh
Says the guy who had the Resign-to-Run law changed to keep getting a paycheck while campaigning, and will still have a job to go back to when he crashes and burns in the primaries.
