They actually ‘seek optics’, but not peace. Zelensky’s ‘terms’ are ‘act like you lost and get out, oh and leave a lot of money on the table’.
Since Russia is winning the war, they are not going to leave and pay the Ukraine what they ask.
Russia asked the UN to investigate Biden’s bio labs and other US labs which are being used to develop biowarfare agents. The labs ‘just happen’ to be on Russia’s border so - Russia destroyed the labs. No, Russia is not going to compensate the Ukraine for provoking this proxy war on behalf of NATO.

I was wondering how the Ukraine haters would react to this.
Think this news was from last weekend.
Anyhow, Ukraine’s idea of discussing peace was to not invite Russia to the meeting.
It was pretty obviously a way for Zelensky to try to shore up international solidarity for Ukraine and make powers like SA feel like part of a “peace process”. ( and also beg for money and weapons)
China did attend and probably kept things real, knowing Russia’s position well.
Ukraine is in its own small way demonstrating that the epoch of ships at sea is now and certainly soon will be a thing of the past. They are just floating targets.
