The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has said Ukrainian forces probably carried out a limited raid across the Dnipro River and landed on Kherson Oblast’s eastern bank.

It is thought that Russia repositioned front line troops to embattled areas in the center and the north, and is defending eastern Kherson with mobilized soldiers, relying on the natural obstacle of the Dnieper River.
Ukraine, contrariwise, is looking to cut Crimea off from re-supply, and furthermore to cut eastern Kherson and Zaporizhia Oblasts from re-supply from Crimea, mostly using rockets and long-range artillery.
The hope for rapid liberattion of eastern Kherson and Zaporizhia Oblasts has been thwarted by mine fields, trench works and artillery. Progress has been slow. There have been no real breakthroughs.
Probably? Really?

“probably” - such is the state of reporting lately. I guess the Russians can prove it didn’t happen.
The difference between western reporting and Russian reporting:
western reporting - normally wants proof (although creeping woke ideology dispenses with need for proof)
Russian reporting - no need for any reporting, Russia is always winning; even when Russia is losing, Russia is winning (as when Russia seemingly lost its war with Japan in 1904, and seemingly lost WWI, and seemingly lost in Afghanistan) (see post #14).
Remember, the CIA moved the ground under Russian tanks to make it appear that Russian tanks were invading Ukraine.
And, Russians never even tried to take Kiev (Russian-spelling) or Odessa, so what are these lies that Ukraine took back Kharkiv oblast or eaastern Kherson oblast.
And, what is this talk about Ukrainian commandos conducting a raid across the Dnieper River? These are obviously Russian commandos going back for more vodka.
see post #14 in this thread:
Poland, Ukraine to form joint military unit, says Shoigu
You believe Shoigu? You probably also believe Biden then.
