NAGA’s letter explicitly invokes patriots’ recent massive victory in the culture wars: “Should we need to encourage a national boycott similar to what happened with Anheuser Busch which is now down $27 billion (note, not one brick thrown, not one highway blocked, not one bridge burned) – WE WILL DO JUST THAT.” Oh, what a glorious paragraph.
Good. The choice of the name was meant as a compliment to the bravery and ferocity of the Indians.
Shouldn't they be going after that baseball team in Cleveland that used to be called "The Indians"? It almost sounds like a fan club for that Cleveland team.
I love it!
My wife doesn’t care about the NFL, but she laughed at the name Commanders, because in the popular series “Handmaiden’s Tale,” the villanous, sex-abusing elders of the community were called the Commanders.
This never was about “Redskins” or Indians or Native Americans. This was always about a bunch of far-left, sexual deviants wanting to get their way. More or less just a childish, “in your face.”
LOL. Native Americans vs. woke, powerful, ideological power brokers in DC.
I’ve seen that play before, and I can tell you how it turns out.
I read that there is nothing racist about the redskins. That native american tribes would put red dye on their skin to make them more intimidating when going to war with other tribes. People should study more history before jumping on the ban wagon.
They should have just shortened it to “Reds”. It would have been appropriate.
Should be something like “left on the grocery shelf to spoil”. Budweiser doesn’t care what you do with it as long as you buy it.
They should threaten to do a rain dance before every home game
It was (almost) never the Injuns complaining; it was white liberals.
Maybe Elizabeth Warren can help them out. Put her “skin” in the game.
Should be the DC Robber Barron’s
"See, it's native Americans who want the name back. Please come to the games. Please buy merchandise. Please watch on television."
