Yeah, also: in the U.S., a “commander” isn’t a big shot. It’s Russia where “commander” means a high-ranking general.

The naval rank “CDR” is an O-5, same as a LTC/LtCol in other branches of service.
The title Commander is applied by other branches of service to the HMFIC of any particular unit, however large or small.
(Yeah, I know: the HMFIC is really a guy with a whole lot of stripes on his sleeve ... but we gotta pretend ...)
