I wonder who this developing African nation will turn to for funding, cheap fossil fuel energy and cheap, dependable, non insect food?

I’m of the understanding that China and Russia maintain a presence there.

In seems a bifurcation of the global order is happening.
The West v The Rest

Stand your ground, Uganda. That’s YOUR country, not the property of the WEF or the World Bank.
Unfortunately, this kind of first world meddling is likely to end up with Uganda getting ‘very helpful’ offers from China.
Two years ago, Russia would already be over in Africa for this sort of reason. Russia is ‘busy’ right now.

"I wonder how I could invest in Uganda?"

My first thought was ... "Can I open an IT office in Uganda?". I've done that in years past with Argentina, and the experience, over many years, was quite positive.

The Woke White Euros are colonizing Africa, forcing their White Woke Euro values on Indigenous Native populations of Color. How rude.

Get rid of the word woke. Replace it with the White Man's Burden. You got it right.

Uganda seems to be just realizing they have to fight the homos in the UN.

Kamala (not the current DC one) and others were always defiant of outsiders....

Not a joke that his name was James Kamala Harris. RIP

Rare Earth

Underrated group. Motown spinoff label with them ended up having #1 hits.

I saw them perform once as an opening act and was highly impressed by their professionalism and depth of musical talent. Seemed finely tuned and rehearsed unlike many of that era.

Why not? I’ve gotten the occasional IT recruiting inquiry from Uganda.

I think some time down the road Uganda might be a safer place for “my type” (aka conservative).

Foreign Aid hurts Africa more than it helps. Time for Africa to stand on their own two feet.
