Hawaii churches offer prayers

I went to google news. The very first words that appeared are mis-information.

Churches do not offer prayers. Parishioners, Clergy, people offer prayers. Churches do not offer prayers. Google has just opened themselves up to ridicule. Go ahead find things to ridicule. Google is full of them.

That is not a good example. The statement above is an example of the well-known figure of speech called the metonym, in which the function is associated with a concept, rather than people. Example - The Kremlin issued a threat today, which the White House denounced.
