Aren’t they still excavating the bodies? And talking about what to do with the land!
“I promise you, we will not rest one second until we find out who did this to Nordberg. Now, let’s grab a bite to eat” /Lt. Frank Drebin Police Squad

The workforce had housing.
The families had housing.
Didn’t need a state takeover
Now I read insurers are refusing claims because properties weren’t “ up to code”
I get a whiff of collusion here
And screw the people who own property and may want to “build back.....
China probably has buyers rolling wheelbarrows of cash around.
The owners are getting swamped with calls from realters and buyers. The governor was upset about it. They are all vultures.
See my post
Insurers possibly in collusion with state officials
Refusing claims.
Insurance is big business in Honolulu.
Lots of money to put into politicians
Trump fought for the small citizen. The oligarchs in power want to own everything and everyone.
Trump is for us, the small people of America.
I am going to say this and it is very, very upsetting.
Way back in ...late 1960’s an area of city burned. The government wanted those people out of that area, but had no legit way to make them move. So one night...it simply caught fire. People were displaced ...permanently. The city took the land for development.
Now, it was not considered a big deal because the people living there were not “rich or white.” But...very powerful people wanted them moved out.
This incident is what motivated my Uncle at the time to become an arson investigator, because he saw what happened as one of the responding fire fighters. He knew the truth of events. He went on to be the head of the cities arson investigation unit.
This all sounds very familiar to me about how powerful people can do things and get away with it. I hope those powerful people are found out this time.
Smash and grab. 54 cities were taken. Now they took an island.
I was chastised for stating most of the folks probably had insurance. More than a few people thought I was mean that everyone there is not rich and in fact most are poor “without two nickles”. How they could afford a home in Hawaii, taxes, upkeep and be poor I don’t understand.
Yes, this is all too convenient
Most of those homes had been there for years, passed on to generations of Hawaiians. I bet most not up to code, they would add on to these homes to house more family & doubtful got construction permits.
So, still unknown origin, water held back, gov says the state may try to “acquire” the burned land, gov puts moratorium in place to keep haolis from buying land....... Nah, not suspicious. 🤔
“Why wouldn’t property owners decide what to do with their properties?”
Maybe they would acquire properties the owners wished to sell. Some people may not want to rebuild. That’s the only way this makes any sense to me.
Anyone heard from native son obama?
He and mooch over there handing out sandwiches?
How about Tulsi Gabbard? Political wunderkind.
Hey now. BranDUHn is sending them $700 so what are they whining about......... /$
Biden will send them $700 then turn around and add that in to their taxable income.
By living there for decades on the ol’ Ohana homestead
Most of the mega mansions are in Kapalua but most of this is close to being true.
And you will be happy.
