Hawaii leadership: That's our story, and we're sticking to it!

Last night, I watched with shame as the Three Stooges of Hawaii — Gov. Josh Green, the mayor of Maui, and the head of Maui Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) — stuck together like a band of thieves sharing an alibi: It's not our fault. We did the best we could. That's our story, and we're sticking to it!

The MEMA administrator actually said he had no regrets about not using the emergency alert siren system. His lame excuse was that the sirens are primarily used to warn of tsunamis: "The public is trained to seek higher ground in the event that the siren is sounded." First of all, that's not true. The official Maui County website lists wildfires among the hazards for which the statewide warning siren may be used. Furthermore, everyone in Hawaii knows to turn on cell phones, TVs, or radios to get instructions following an alert. Second, what this buffoon is saying is that people would have reflexively headed to the mountains where wildfires were still burning, and because Hawaiians are as stupid as trained circus animals, they would have continued running right into the flames.

Many other tragic mistakes were made. Firefighters were frustrated by hydrants that were bone-dry because state water official refused to release water to the affected area. The official is a woke climate activist who believes that water should be "revered" and distributed with "equity."

The Hawaiian Electric Company has also gone woke. Money allocated for maintaining transmission lines and clearing brush from areas vulnerable to wildfires was instead spent to fight "climate change."

Roads leading into Lahaina were blocked, presumably to protect the public, but it also prevented aid from being delivered. Volunteers from neighboring communities were forced to use boats and jet skis to circumvent the roadblocks in order to bring food

More Hawaiian hijinks

In the morning of January 13, 2018, an alert was accidentally issued via the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alert System over television, radio, and cellphones in the U.S. state of Hawaii, instructing citizens to seek out shelter due to an incoming ballistic missile. It concluded: “This is not a drill”. The message was sent at 8:07 a.m. local time. The state had not authorized civil defense outdoor warning sirens.

38 minutes and 13 seconds later, state officials blamed a miscommunication during a drill at the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency for the first message. David Ige, the governor, apologized for the erroneous alert. The Federal Communications Commission and the Hawaii House of Representatives launched investigations into the incident, leading to the resignation of the state’s emergency management administrator.

It's the stupid leading the stupid. The smart and lucky people are still alive. You're on your own and if you are unfortunate enough to be disabled and smart, you're still on your own and you better have a plan, perhaps involving people you can trust, to take care of yourself somehow. Either accept your fate or don't put yourself in a position where you're dependant on the stupid or it will probably be fatal.

How many times is it going to take to figure it out? This, Uvalde, Dem cities, the list goes on. Everything government does is self-serving. Do not assume that any government is going to watch out for or take care of you.

These issues and their “explanations”, if true, should have been in the news cycle hours after the fire laid waste to Lahaina. They weren’t because everyone had to put their heads together, circle the wagons, and come up with a rationalization that ruled out incompetence and saved the regime. The levels of ineptitude here are systemic. They get that way due to inertia, the present regime skating on the work of previous competent hires and organization. But when an emergency that requires fast, error free judgement cranks the Jack in the box upon their smiley face routine, you get an amplification of death and destruction.

Based on the videos I have watched from that day the power was out in Lahaina. As was the internet. It remained out for all of west Maui for days.

Last Saturday was when a lot of the videos from the previous Tuesday started getting uploaded to the internet.

Also, last Saturday there was a guy in Kannapoli who was letting everyone use his Starlink Internet WIFI hot spot to make calls for the first time since Tuesday. I watched a video from a guy right there saying that they were totally cut off. That they need supplies and nothing was coming through from the other part of the island. That they were basically left on their own.

One of the things we should all learn from this example is that you better be able to survive at your own house for at least 3 weeks without outside help. That ALL the PREPPERS are right. When the SHTF you have to be self sufficient.
You better have a months supply of vitals pharma products.
That you better have few weeks worth of drinking water, etc.
